From needs identification and monitoring impact, to trusted deployment of capital across the value chain, to providing last-mile liquidity where there is a lack of financial services, the field of Social Finance faces critical challenges advancing the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. With technological advancements disrupting KYC/AML, digitalization of assets, and conditional finance, blockchain is positioned to become a massive disruption to the entire industry of social finance. In this session, we will explore real world cases on how venture philanthropists, impact investors, development banks, and grassroots communities can each leverage and benefit from distributed ledger technologies.
