Building a global community of ESG and Impact Investors

Who We Are

Since 1996, the Triple Bottom Line Group (TBLI) has been building the ecosystem for the Impact Investing and Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) community, providing advisory, educational services and networking events.

Our signature event, TBLI CONFERENCE™, is the longest-running global forum bringing together investors, asset managers and thought leaders in sustainable finance. Our events are for networking, peer-to-peer learning and finding new business opportunities. We have held more than 30 events in Europe, North America, Asia and Latin America.

Through TBLI CONSULTING™, we have helped raise significant capital for investment in sustainable businesses by introducing new business partners and mobilizing capital. In addition, we have worked with The Carbon Disclosure Project, SWIFT, NYSE Euronext, the European Union and institutional investors, such as ABP Pension Fund, to raise awareness, address particular issues or get projects of the ground.

Until now, social impact has been driven primarily by non-profits, environmentalists and philanthropists and has only recently grown to mainstream capital markets.

Our Vision

The world will benefit when economy supports the well-being of society and the environment.

Our Mission

We are about creating an inclusive values-based economy. The aim is to maximize investment flows into sustainability initiatives by highlighting the benefits of triple bottom line investing.

The Definition Of TBLI

Triple bottom line (abbreviated as TBL or 3BL) is an accounting framework with three parts: social, environmental (or ecological) and financial. These three divisions are also called the three Ps: people, planet and profit, or the "three pillars of sustainability". (Source: Wikipedia). The "I" stands for investing and thus as a whole refers to investments made involving the aforementioned, three bottom lines, instead of just one.
